Tracy Dunn
Founder
Tracy Dunn Design an award-winning interior designer specializing in luxurious designs that create elegant rooms, which are not only inviting and functional, but have an emphasis on comfortable living. She attributes her style to her passion for color and her innate creative ability to juxtapose decor in a unique approach. She loves to mix new and old furnishings with high and low-price points, to give an interior a result that appears it was developed over time.
Tracy was born and raised in Ft. Lauderdale, Florida, and is a second–generation South Floridian. Tracy attended Florida State University, where she received a B.S. degree in the College of Human Sciences majoring in Fashion Merchandising and minoring in Marketing. Buying for 36 Allied Department Stores, Tracy immediately started her career in fashion as a buyer for Ladies Sportswear. As much as she loved fashion and excelled in her industry, Tracy’s true passion was interior design.
The skills that made her a successful buyer in the fashion industry, were easily applied to the world of Interior Design. While working in the fashion industry, she managed multi-million-dollar budgets, organized, coordinated and facilitated project deadlines. These skills are just as important as making creative choices in color, scale, and texture.
“It is amazing how many times my fashion sense interlocks with my home design ideas.”
